8.00am Sunday Communion in church
The Sunday 8.00am Communion is a BCP service. You don't need to book in advance for this.
What can I expect when worshipping inside church?
We are following guidance from both the government and the Diocese to make the church as safe and as welcoming as possible. We are having to adapt as the guidance changes, so please bear with us as we return to our usual services. Things will be different but we can assure you of a very warm welcome and heartfelt worship.
We recommend that you arrive before 10.20am to allow time for being 'checked in' and directed to your seat.
Remember to maintain a safe distance from people not within your household, even when outside.
You will need to wear a face covering unless you have an exemption and will be asked to sanitise your hands as you come in. You will be directed to a socially distanced place to sit.
We are looking at how we can safely re-introduce some children’s activities and choral music, but initially there will be no congregational singing and children will need to sit with their family. The Children’s Corner will not be in use.
There will be no physical sharing of the Peace and at Communion please wait until you are invited to come forward. Communion will be in one kind only.
There will be a collection plate at the back of the church. There is also the Giving by Text option and, in time, donations will also be possible through a card reader that will be installed.
Toilets will be available.
Everyone is welcome, but please do not come to church if you are self-isolating, or if you, or anyone in your household, are feeling unwell or have any symptoms of Covid-19 (such as a fever, cough, lack of taste/smell).
As you can imagine, there’s much to consider and we’ll learn as we go along. Please do pray for all those involved in preparing our buildings for a safe return.
