The General Election will be a moment for the nation to ask important questions about the future. Pray Your Part is an invitation from the bishops of the Church of England to encourage prayer and participation in the life of our nation and communities, both as voters and as citizens.
This 21-day journey of prayer and reflection (from Friday 14 June until Election Day on 4 July) is designed for use in the run-up to the UK General Election. Each day explores a different theme, with a short Bible reading, reflection and prayer for a different aspect of our common life.

Important news about keeping in touch!
We really want to keep in touch with everyone at St Andrew’s, be it sharing news and information with you by email or one of the ministry team calling to find out how you are.
It’s six years since The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was introduced and we’re now reviewing our database to make sure everyone’s contact and consent details are up to date.
If you’re not on our mailing list already, would you like to be?
The St Andrew’s
Consent Form for Communication can be completed online. Paper forms are available in church, and we are sending forms in the post to those who don’t have an email address and can't get to church. Please complete the form by Sunday 7 July 2024 so that we can keep in touch with you.
If we already have your details but we don’t receive your renewed consent, your contact details will be removed from our database.
Questions? Please speak to Phil Probert, Parish Administrator (
contact details here).
Please note that this is not related to the Electoral Roll, which will be renewed in 2025.

The Bishop of St Albans' - Open Garden
Sundays between 9 June - 11 August, 2.00-4.00pm
The Bishop of St Albans will be opening his garden every Sunday between Sunday 9 June and Sunday 11 August for people to come and look at the beautiful gardens and the summer display. Those who saw the snowdrops will have seen the potential that the garden had for the summer and will be delighted at the change a different season brings.
The two acres of garden is an oasis in central St Albans and visitors frequently comment on the fact that they did not know the garden was here or how extensive it is.
Entrance is £5 per person (children free) and dogs on leads are welcome, there will also be plants for sale on some weekends.
Please wear footwear suitable for the time of year.
All money raised is donated to the Beds and Herts Historic Churches Trust.
